The Maine creates a perfect summer.

This is my last official high school summer, and it still hasn't hit me yet. I have always planned for this summer to be the best summer of my life. So far, it has been. My name's Mikaela Moore. I'm about to go into my senior year in high school. I have been one of the biggest Maine fans since i heard "Stay up, Get Down". Let's just say The Maine takes up 99.9% of my ipod, and thats all i listen to in my raggedy pt cruiser. You see, down here in Tennessee, you don't here much form this genre. It's all blues and country music. Don't get me wrong, i love the south, but there's nothing like putting in my head set and listening to John O'Callaghan voice. It puts me in another world. Thats exactly how it felt when my aunt and uncle told me they were taking my best friend and myself to one of The Maine's concerts. I didn't believe it. Me, a 17 year old southern belle, traveling 11 hours to Chicago, IL, to see the greatest band God ever put on this earth. It was surreal. Days flew by as i counted down to the second, and before i knew it, i was standing in Chicago. I'd never seen anything like it. The biggest city I'd ever seen was Nashville, TN. We arrived in Chicago June, 3. Booked our hotel at the Westin (which was EXTREMELY nice btw), and waited. I could not sleep that night, But finally morning rolled around and i literally leaped from the bed. I slipped on my hand made and glow in the dark, "I LOVE JOHNO" shirt, and waited for everyone else to get ready. We were finally in the big city once again, and it took us nearly 2 hours to find parking. We are definitely not used to this kind of driving either ;) Once we parked, we walked to get in line at the house of blues. I was SOOOO excited, then boom, out of nowhere the bottom fell out of the sky. We were drenched, This didn't ruin my enthusiasm though. We waited 2 hours then poured through the doors of The House of Blues. The decor in this place is beyond amazing. Me and my best friend squeezed our way to the crowd and found our place. I am extremely short, so it was difficult to see. Austin Gibbs performed, he was good as expected. Then Augustana, and to my belief, I caught they're drumstick! After it pelted me in the forehead and left a huge knot of course. Then, just as they were about to close they're set, Johno came out. I've never been so cramped in my life. Everyone went wild, and for a split second, i couldn't breathe. It was INSANE. Then the Maine finally came out. Somehow i managed to push my way closer to the front so i could see. It was everything i ever dreamed of. :) I jumped, i danced, and i sang my little heart out. John was beautiful, as where Kennedy, Pat, Garrett, and Jared. I had never seen so much sweat and tears in my life. As we started to leave, i held tight onto my drumstick, bought a t shirt, shorts, a poster, and a bracelet, and chugged a sprite. For the next few weeks i was still in awe. As i am now just looking at you guys' Website picture, You ARE amazing, Thank you for making this the greatest summer of my life.
