Pat's question of the day Pt.1
I try to pride my self in being a leader not a follower but I saw that Garrett moved his personal blog over to the world of wearethemaine.net and thought it was a good idea so I decided to follow suite. Alot of times I get pretty caught up in news of what the band has going on and things like that but I figure in these daily(hopefully) blogs I will let you guy's know a little more about me and hopefully I can learn more about you. So I am going to post a question for you guys at the end of each blog and hopefully you guys can all respond to the question and I will go through and read all of them and even reply back about what I thought of your answer. Let me know if you get sick of these blogs and I will stop haha. Well here goes nothing...
Every year since I was born in the summer my family and I went to San Diego and rented a beach house on mission beach. For awhile I never really liked going and said I hated the beach and this and that. Then we went on tour and for the first time in 17 years I didn't go with my family for our summer vacation. I really started missing it and realizing how much fun I had with my family. We leave tomorrow to head to San Diego for a few day's and for the first time in 3 years I will get to join them on vacation. I am going to do my best to take advantage of every moment and really enjoy it while I can because who knows the next time I will be there with them.
So my first question is what is the place where you go or thing that you do with your family that you will always remember for the rest of your life??

Life In the Military
As the title of my comment implies, I'm a "miliray brat". So, as with the stereotypical military family, we move around a lot. It's been pretty great, I guess. I've gotten to live in great places, and meet new people.
So, the most recent move has taken us to Great Britain. East Anglia to be exact, where I'm about 80 miles North of London, half an hour out of Cambridge and Bury St. Edmunds, and a few hours away from Stone Hendge. As you can see, I definately get the chance to see all of these historic places.
Now, we have lived here for a little less than 3 years. Throughout these three years we have gotten a chance to travel to the greatest places, not only in the UK, but all around Europe.
So, my family does not have a set family vacation. Our vacations consist of traveling around Europe and well, the rest of the world. Over Spring Break we went to Spain (getting stuck there because of the volcano, which took us from Malaga, Spain - Madrid - Bordeux - Paris - London - the finnaly, home. We couldn't get a flight home, so we took trains.) We've been snowboarding in Switzerland, to the Red Light district in Amsterdam ( [; ), around Belguim, Germany, and so many more. We're just trying to make the most of this great expirience (although, to be honest, England really sucks because everyone lives WAY far away. My town consists of a bunch of 80 year olds who like to play Bingo. My nearest friend lives 15 minutes away, but who am I to complain?
I realize saying this, I sound very spoiled. So, I apologize for that. I assure you, I don't take any of this for granted. I realize I'm lucky to have the chance to travel to all of these great places.
Say cool with your music, you guys are great.
By the way, sorry for the 12 page comment. I talk too much.
Well, my family is sort of
Well, my family is sort of split up right now..not my parents but like my brother and us. I have an older brother who is in the Air Force so we barely ever get to see him. I'm happy to say that the vacation my family and I go on together is to North Carolina so that we can see him at Seymore Johnson Air Force Base. So, there's my answer, exciting as it is hahaha.
P.S. I love this question idea!
My Family's Not The Vacay
My Family's Not The Vacay Type.
We've Only Taken One Sort Of "Vacation" We Spent The Day At Story Book Gardens In London, Ontario, Canada And Then Spent The Night At My Aunt And Uncles House, Who Live, I'm Guessing, About 30 Minutes Away From Story Book Gardens. I Was Probably About 8.
The Closest I'll Get To A Vacation This Year Will Be Taking Two Days Off Work. To See You In Concert (July 29th) And Then I'm Visiting My BFF Who I Haven't See In A While For The Weekend. I Can't Wait. I'm So Excited. =]
<3
My family and I are big tennis fans every year we usually go to a professional tennis tournament in cincinnati OH. Its something that we all enjoy and just being together and having a good time is something ill always remember! :)
a place i go with my family that ill always remember is..
we go to Illinois b/c my moms side of the family has a reunion every year and we rent cabins right by this lake called Lake Sara. me and my family dont go every year cuz its expensive but we go like everyother year. i dont always like going cuz i dont talk that much with my family im boring. im still in high school and theres just not that much to say.and also since my mom died its kinda awkward going out there hearing the "omg u look just like your mother" it gets old and its sad. but when i look back on it i do have fun.and the road trip out there is always the best
yeah...
there is this place my family owns (in mexico) its like a little ranch kinda thing...and i used to love going there when i was younger but then when i started growing up i was like hating it...haha it really sucked for me cause there were bugs and cows and lots and lots of wild dogs (ha i used to be scared of dogs so thats why i say they were wild but they really werent) and it sucked going there but now i moved and it isnt that simple to go there every sunday so now we dont go there (maybe once a year?)
and i remember it now and look back and it just seems really cool now...and i wish we could go there as much as we used to
Vancouver, :')
The thing I will probably never forget for the rest of my life is going to Canada every two years with my family for a month in the summer. I live in Ireland, but my Mum's Canadian, so we visit her family often. :) Theres this forest near my Aunt's house and it's quite dark, but theres one part beside a river where there is no trees and its really peaceful and sunny, :) I really like it there, and theres always animals and stuff, but they never notice you. :)
For the first time in around 16 years for me too, I wont be able to go to Vancouver as my parent's want to go to Europe. I know i'll miss it, but hopefully I will cherish the journey even more if I get to go there next time, :)
Fall foliage rides.
Im kinda late on this. oh well! well, when i was little my parents used to drag me on these "fall foliage rides" where we would drive to upstate new york (im from ct) and "look at the scenery" i always used to cry and whine about going, but they would drag me along anyway. but we did stumble upon some really cool places and we've actually gone back to some of them. in the past two or three years we havent gone because i got older and busier. but now i kinda miss them, and i hope we might be able to go next year. so, i guess my story is kinda like yours. haha.
Camp :D
Well, I'm from AZ and I love to spend my summer getting wet and stuff, so ever since I was in Kindergarten I've been going to this summer camp with my little brother. I'm getting kinda old for it now and this will be my last year but I'll definitely miss it. I always spend with some of my really close friends who I only see during the summer at camp and we do a lot of hilarious things together(i.e. pudding fights, ultimate Frisbee, and of course...water balloon fights!) I love being able to forget about all the stress from the school year and being able to have fun. I know sometimes a lot of people(including me) think that going to a summer camp isn't as much fun as just running around the city and going crazy with your friends, but I will never forget camp and how much fun my brother and I have had there with our friends. I'm really glad I had the chance to be part of the camp, and hopefully when I'm a little older I'll work there like the other counselors who went there when they were younger :)
vacation
Every summer my sister and I go to visit my cousins in Massachusetts for a month. I love it, but sometimes it's not as much fun as it seems. It is more fun than being at home because up there we always find something new and hilarious to do and we are really close to our cousins, who are about the same age as we are. The not fun part comes around because we are so close, we get along most of the time, but we fight like cats occasionaly. The worst part is coming home though because our house seems so empty and we miss them, but I would definately not give up these summer trips, we make so many memories, and I love my cousins!
Surgery D:
I went to South Korea once, because my sister needed some eye surgery.
All the Koreans would point and stare at us because we spoke english :P.
Then at Baskin Robbins, I had to say "Chocolate" slowly so the woman would understand it in my accent :D.
My family's vacation...
The trip that i will always remember taking for the rest of my life, is going to a small little beach/island in north carolina called Holden Beach. My mom's family used to have house there, and her parents took her there for her whole life, and now my family and i have gone there every summer, and I will always remember that beach and hanging out with my whole family. Also, about seven years ago, i met my very best friend in the world at the beach and we have stayed super close ever since even though we live three states away from each other, and we always go to that beach during the same week and hang out. Going to that beach every summer is probably one of the best things in my life. :)
Oh the places you'll go...
Sunny, sunny, sunny Santa Fe, well...and Albuquerque too. Every summer, my mom, dad, dog, and I would pack up our bags and head on down to New Mexico. In our family, we're the only ones who live out of state, so we always do the traveling. When I was younger, I seriously used to dread this trip, one: because I didn't know if I would be able to last the entire card ride without a "potty break;" and two: it was always hot and boring with the same stretch of black road for hours on end, an occasional cow out in the fields. But as years passed by, the car trip eventually turned into a girls road trip. While I love my dad dearly, it's fun getting to just turn on the radio and blast it with cheesy songs from the 80's while both my mom and I sing. The years that we don't get to go, I get really bummed out. I actually find myself wanting to ride in the car and stare out into the emptyness, something I rarley see in every day life. Plus, New Mexico has seemed to have grown on me=) No matter where life may take me, those summer road trips are something that I will never forget!
P.S. I think this question of the day is really cool...!
Smoky Mountains :]
Every year in late July, or early August, my entire family goes up to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee to go camping in the national park. I've been pretty much every year since I was born, and its a ton of fun. My cousins and I go on long bike rides and hikes, and we go swimming in the river. (The only way to bathe is to bathe in the river, its about 50 degrees. Very cold. D:) It's always a compitition to see who will be brave enough to jump in first.
We reserve one of the nights we spend there for laying out blankets on the bridge over the river to look at the stars. Being in the mountains, there aren't many lights, so its the perfect way to see them.
We decided that this year, we are not going to go. Two of my family members have cancer, and its just not a good year. I really do hope that we can go next year though. Its taken us not going this year for me to realize how much I really do love the mountains.
My family and I used to go to
My family and I used to go to Montreal every year to visit my uncle and grandma. Although, this trip is no longer just family, it is still one of those things that I will never forget. We always invite my brothers girlfirend, my best friend and my brothers' band along with us now and they're all so close to us that it's still like family.
We usually go in the summer once and around February once every year. This year due to all of us being in University, it was too hard to find a convenient time for everyone to go in February so we didn't end up going. I was really upset that we didn't go because it was a fun thing we did every year. We now have our summer trip planned and I guess it's going to have to be even better to make up for not going in February.
Holidays/the Yankees
My family would always have the sick, incredible parties during the holidays. We would all get together at someone's house and deck out the house in awesome decorations and make everything look so cool. My dad and grandma and I guess whoever else felt like it would cook and we'd spread out the food like a buffet. All the adults would be playing poker and drinking wine and the kids would be playing video games or watching movies after dinner. Than once everyone was ready, my aunt would plug in her karaoke equipment and everyone would take turns singing and dancing around. My cousins and I would put on shows in the basement and perform for everyone. Everyone ended up moving to different states, so we don't do any of that a lot anymore, which sucks, but I'll always remember it.
One more thing I'll always remember is watching the Yankees with my dad every chance we can. He enjoys having me as company, and I love him and baseball, so I watch it with him and a lot.
Baseball:)
My two brothers are both older than me and they were into baseball when they were little. They usually ended up on the same team but even when they were on opposing teams it was so much fun. Every game was down my hill behind Los Serranos Elementary School or at the old Community Park when they got older. I always went to there games and cheered them on and it was a family ordeal. My dad would get thrown out for yelling at the umpire, my mom would be writing in the teams score keeping book, and I would be running around playing in the dirt or yelling my head off or going on snack runs for parents. I remember at the old Community Park my brothers were on the same team and Kurt went up hitting a home run, then Steven went up and hit a home run,and Kurt then pinch hit and hit a grand slam. My dad would swing my friend Bree by her ankles, the boys would let us into the dugout with them and let us watch the game from what they see. They would be giving us play-by-plays and when the big hitters where up we would run to the other side of the field and wait for them to hit a home run then catching the ball and giving it to them after the game.
Sadly they stopped playing baseball but I always hold these memories dear to my heart and I now cheer my head off at Kurt's football games. :) <3
Colorado:)
My grandpa bought a cabin and a lot of land in Vacita Colorado when my mom was a kid. She has 5 other siblings and they started going there every summer. Now that they all have kids, and we all go there every summer together. Since there is so many of us, my grandpa added another house to the land because it was really crowded. On the land we have mountains, a pond, and a waterfall. It's my favorite place in the world because it's so peacefull and no one except my famlily and invited people can come on it so i dont have to worry about being disturbed. It brings us all together as a family and keeps us close:)
summerrrr(:
every year since i was one, my dads side of the family rents a house in the Florida Keys(Cause i'm from Orlando) and we drive down there. we usually spent a good two weeks down there living in paradise. cookouts, boating, scuba diving, catching lobsters, pina coladas, going to private 3 doors down concerts and sitting on their stage at the young age of 8. Thats what i looked forward too every year. Ever since i lost touch with that side of the family i miss it so much every year, and i just want to go back. But i know that wont happen, expecially since the oil spill. :/ But it was amazing while it lasted, and i wont ever forget ittt. :)
memories
every year on the 4th of july my family goes up to my grandparent's cabin up in the moutains in new york and we light off fireworks
its really boring there, just miles and miles of forests and ponds and trails, so far from civilization, they don't have internet, or cell service, and barely have tv.
I'm more of a city person, I like to just be able to walk out the door and have many options for things to do, and I'm not one who likes to walk through the woods...
this will be the first time since i was 4 that I don't go, because I'm going to my dads house in kentucky this time, I don't know if I'll miss it or not, maybe, maybe not...
The beach<3
Wow it's funny that you said that because I have a really similar story. Ever since I've been born my family has had a vacation house at the Jersey shore, and we go down every weekend in the summer. My aunts, uncles, and cousins also have a house 2 blocks away from mine, and we spend all of our time with them. When I was younger I felt so secluded because all of my cousins are so much older than me, so everything they really wanted to talk about couldn't be sad in front of me. I always complained that I didn't want to go to the beach and that I wanted to stay home. Now that I'm older I absolutely love spending time down the shore with my parents, cousins, and sister. I'm actually at the shore right now haha. Every weekend I'm down here I grow closer to my family and make even more memories with them. During the year I hardly see any of them, so the summers are my time to get close to my family. I can't wait to see what the rest of summer has in store. =]
For the past 13 years, my
For the past 13 years, my family has always gone to Cedar Point for a week. It was always the highlight of my summer because of it being the one time my family actually acted like a family. Now were no longer a family because of divorce, so theres no longer a trip to Cedar Point together =[ I miss it horribly, but it always brought the best memories so it holds a great place in my heart. But all good things come to an end sometimes, its part of growing up =] so thats what I'll always remember about my family no matter how far we grow apart!!
--Alex =]
growing up :)
Every moment I spend with my family is special. I'll never forget the evenings we spent watching movie and eating popcorn. I love Christmas, a huge dining table, with all the cousins, uncles, grandparents, everybody healthy and happy. Many people say that the priority of life is to have money, but my priority and my philosophy of life is to be happy with money or not, be happy, be healthy and have people we love on our side is the most important. And of course our true friends are also part of the family, and you guys, The Maine, is part of my family :)
I wish all the best for you guys, because you are sweet and adorable, you deserve to be happy and i want you to know that I'll always be by your side, i'm by your side since the beginning, I saw you grow and I grew up with you, and that's it right? Growing up won't bring us down ♥
with love.

Summer Wish-List
Hey Pat, I live on the east coast and while I don't have the biggest family, we're definitely one of the most fun-loving. Every summer, my mom, brother, sister, and I sit down and write a summer wish-list of places we'd like to visit or things we'd like to do before the summer ends and we keep a large checklist on our door. We try our best to do everything on the list, but if there's anything leftover we save it for the next summer. Now that my sister and I are in college, and our work schedules clash, we've lost track of our summer tradition. I definitely miss the summers where our mom made it her goal to help us see and do everything that we wanted to, but unfortunately now that we're older it's a lot harder ):
I think it's great that you're dedicating the time to do this blog, I'd love to know more about you! I'll be seeing you in August in Jersey (:
Special moment w/ family
Hey Pat! To answer your question; The moments I spend with my family I'll never forget is when we're at my grandma's house on a dinner where my whole family (of about 40 peeps) are gathered and I just sit down and chill with my cousins doing everything from fooling around to playing cards. Another one is when me, mom and sis are dining at our favorite restaurant. Those moments are priceless and unfortunately, they're a extremely small part of my life. Maybe that's why I love them so much?
Love, Emy
Vacation!
Hey Pat! Btw, I really like your idea of asking us questions and you and Garrett blogging:D
But anyways, every summer sense I was in 6th grade (and now I am a senior in high school) we have gone down to Florida for the whole summer.
My dad owns a business down there so we got a house and it is our summer home, I started off really enjoying it - but as time goes on I don't like going, it takes me away from a summer with my friends. But I do sail every summer so that is always fun(:
They also let me have a friend down for one week of the summer, and this summer a friend of mine and I plan on going to warped tour together there because I won't be home for the Chicago one. But what I really wanted to see was your headliner on August 14th, but we may be leaving that day so I may not be able to see you guys at all this summer =/ I'm keeping my fingers crossed though! The last time I saw you guys play was warped 09 and I want to see you play again so bad!
family
Every new years me & my family go on a trip for a couple days we go different places ! One year On new years eve Me & my sister were walking back to our hotel & were almost hit by a car . The lady in the passangers seat was a drunk old woman singing you gootta fightt for yourr right to PARTYYYY! Probably one of the funnest things i have ever seen :) i love my family
Ever since I was little, I
Ever since I was little, I have vacationed on Peaks Island, Maine. It is only 3 miles from my home in Portland, but it seems a world away. I have always loved going there with all of my cousins because it is so different from the rest of Maine. People think I am crazy because I go on a 15 minute ferry ride to an island across a bay while they go to Aruba or California for vacation.
goin for drives!
when we were younger, we'd always go for drives. through downtown, or through like, all the corn fields and stuff. and it wasn't like, my mom and dad would sit in the front seat and talk, while my sister and i would sleep, we'd all talk and stuff. it was a lot of fun. just the other day i went for a drive with my dad, and it just reminded me when i was little.
definitely a good question!! what's your thing you did with your family??
Family Diving Competitions
One thing my family and I have started to do for the past three years are diving competitions. It's not like we do these outrageous, perfect dives. We do anything and everything creative or painful. One year my cousin did the flying squirrel where you grab your ankles and it's pretty much a belly flop but more painful. She won the whole competition with that one dive. We get so into that at the BBQ's leading up we have trial runs, and one year my Uncle was practicing a backwards flip/dive and he bounced wrong and broke his ankle in three places. He was out of the competition and this year he's so pumped to win. It's just one of those family moments that we will carry on for years to come. We do invite friends to make it more interesting. We even have 3 judges, trophies, t-shirts and we do the star spangled banner (not very well might I add).
OH we also have rules! They change every year and are the funniest rules to come up with. One year my brother tried to say he was going to jump in the pool with his beer can and nothing would come out. Well he did it but afterwards we realized the can was empty! So now a rule is you can't jump in the pool with empty bottles/cans with out being inspected.
Sundays(:
Every sunday my whole family (including my aunts, cousins, uncles, and grandparents) hangs out for the whole day. We usually go to church first then meet up at one of our houses. I never really liked it because i thought it was always boring. And as teenagers get older, they usually start hanging out with their friends a lot more and kinda forget about spending time with their family. I have older cousins who have been doing that and i miss them a lot. Even though we all live in the same town, i don't really see them often. One of my cousins is already living in LA for his boxing career and another is going into the army in just a couple of days. Now that i think about it, i should appreciate spending time with all my family.
So that's my answer haha(:
new york :D
well i live in miami and my grandparents, cousins, and my family went to new york when i was like 11 im currently 14, um well my granpa got lost in new york and my parents and my cousins and everyone was roaming around the are where he lost us and no one could find him and then i spotted my granpa's hat and ran after him and turns out it was my grandpa and that day for being the hero of the day i got to pick where we would go next, i picked macys' :D and i got to have the biggest ice cream cone eveer(: i felt good that day.
The Maineeeeee
My whole family, including my parents (haha), love The Maine, so what I wanna start doing is go to a The Maine concert at least once a year. That would be pretty awesome because I consider The Maine a part of my family. <3 you guys. ;)
VACA!
SO every year we go to Wildwood NJ. Its not far, but we get to camp out on the beach for beach blast! My little brother gets to play soccer on the beach. Its a fun time for all of us and we get to spend time in the water park and on the rides. Even though my brothers and family get annoying sometimes, when we're at beach blast we have an amazing time.
vaction:)
Ever since i was little my parents have taken my brother, sister, grandma, and me on vactions around the world. I live in pittsburgh, but i think i have seen more of eroupe than the unites states. We are very blessed with the opportunity my parents have given us to visit and learn about different countries. I will never forget the memories we have created over the summers.
I hope you and your family have fun on vaction this year!!! :)
cant wait you see you on july 28!
-lexi
ur probably not gunna read all these but i thought id share anyw
So my favorite family vactions/memory is when i was younger and my Nana and Papa owned a house in Maine on the lake. Back then I was petrified of tubing and knee boarding so i only watched my older sisters do it, my cousin Steve did all of the intense stuff that was wicked difficult that i couldnt imagine geting the guts to do. I took the place for granted and after my Papa got diagnosed with lung cancer, he sold the house because he couldnt take care of it anymore. He later beat the cancer, but our summer house was still gone. I look back and it was by far my favoite place in the world. I would choose going there over going to some island vacation anyday. My family every year goes camping on that lake where we take our boat and go tubing and other water sports. I finally tried tubing and knee boarding and I LOVED it. I did it for my cousin Steve who died on April 22nd 2007. I knew he would have been proud of me.
-Hope you liked it Pat :)

Lemurfest
Every memorial weekend, my family and I drive up to Asheville, NC to go to this thing called the Lemurfest. I have no idea how they came up with that name hahaha. It's just a big gathering where people hang out and listen to music. Kids can run around on the 15 acres the host own. I look forward to it every year. It's one of the few times during the year where I can see my extended family from like Alabama and Maryland and Pennsylvania (I live in NC so we never get to see them). It's great. :D I mean, it's not the beach, but still. Hahaha.
So yeahhh! I can't wait to see you guys this august :D I'm looking forward to more posts from you! (:
The Eagles
Me and my Grama used to ride around in the car looking for garage sales blasting The Eagles :). To this day they are and always will be one of my favorite bands on this earth. You guys should definetly look into doing a cover of one of their songs...maybe "Take it Easy" or "Hotel California" , just a suggestion :).

Reading all these happy
Reading all these happy stories about families makes me so sad, I'm in tears. For the past 7 years my family has been so broken up we never had the chance to do something with the family because we all hate each other. It's just so hard. With not talking to my mother and my sister not getting along with my dad, mom, and rest of the family, and my aunt always working, its like I really dont have a family. We dont do anything we're going to miss. We dont have any traditions or anything. When I go away to college in a couple of years I'll only miss them personally and not things we did, becasue we havent done anything so memorable or that great. Yeah there are greart things that we have done but nothing that we repeatly do to think back, hey if this was a year ago I would be doing this now... I'm just saying.
once a year
at least once a year my fam and i will go to orlando fl and go to all the parks but animal kingdom and sea world but for the past few times we have went someone is allways making drama and my 2 bros have wifes and kids now and i guess its not that much fun anymore bc i dont get to do want i want to do anymore i guess i wish it would be like old times when it was just my mom,dad,3 bros, sis and i it was way more fun then now its just very stressful having to deal with the kids and all but we r going once again this year but im trying to make it just my mom, dad, sis, bro and i going this time so i dont have to deal with babies and have a fun time again like old times i hope i get to do that :)
My Story...
since i live with my grandma, its hard to actually go on holidays now.
But when i lived with my Foster Parents, i went on a holiday to Sydney.
it was amazing, that was my first legit holiday. i went to Luna Park, sydney opera house, sydney harbour bridge. i remember i had breakfast on the harbour, just the little things.
ill always remember my first holiday, hopefully maybe ill have more in the years come.

Almost two years ago, my
Almost two years ago, my parents, sister and I went to Huntington Beach, California for my dad's birthday and it was just a great trip. It was just nice to see my parents so happy and seeing my sister so excited to go out of state for the first time in her life. My family and I have been going to California every three years or so since I was born so it's always been a family event for us. I have honestly shared some of the best days of my life with them in that state. I'm moving to Huntington Beach for a few months for an internship and I know it's going to be hard being there without my family because I'm so used to going there with only them, and I know it's going to be hard for them to be away from me for three months. My family and I are extremely close. Basically any vacation we go on together, whether we leave the country or just leave the town always ends up being a great time. I love spending time with my family, especially now knowing that I will only have a few more months with them.
Home?
I go to a lot different places and do a lot of different things with my family, but I think for the one that I'd never ever forget? I'd have to say our home. It's the place where we could express ourselves, have the funnest fun, tell each other our future plans, sing at the top of our lungs, and swear whenever we want (without any offensive intentions, of course).
My answer's pretty cliche and cheesy, but I guess I like it that way :)
Bonjour Pat :)
I'm French, every year with my parents i go and see the rest of my family because all my uncles/aunts/cousins live in the same town, so we always go there and try to see everyone, generally during the summer and for Christmas. I love each member of this family, i'm pretty lucky about that ! When i was little i spent most of my time in my aunt's swimming pool, went to the park with my grand mother who sadly passed away, went to the lake and simple things like that.
At the moment i'm pretty sad 'cause i'm thinking it's probably the last summer with my parents (i'm 21) as next year as soon as i graduate from uni i want to move to London. And i'll probably work this summer, i hope actually as i'm pretty poor, so maybe i won't be able to go there. I guess my parents are sad too 'cause my brother lives in Barcelona so we don't often see him and soon it's gonna be my turn, even if i live alone for 2 years, i spend all my week-ends and vacation at home, but there is only one year left at uni.
So i also went to the UK, Ireland and Spain. I hope one day i'll be able to go and visit Arizona :)
You should come in France, that's pretty cool here i think, Paris is gorgeous !
Long enough, lots of French hugs !
Lucie.
every summer me and my family
every summer me and my family would go up north and to monterey and we would always visit pismo beach because it is in the middle of our roadtrip and soon it evolved into just going to pismo beach. it was the funnest thing ever, we would go atving on the dunes and i would watch my brothers surf (i have tried and failed to learn how to surf). and a few years ago we got our entire neighborhood into it so all 8 families went up there and it was amazing, we had so much fun. recently though we just stop on our way up to santa cruz so its not as it used to be but the memories always come flooding back when we stop there.
That sounds very fun! It's
That sounds very fun! It's cool that all your neighbors went with you aswell
well your question just made
well your question just made me kinda sad...my family is different, we've never really had a family vacation, kinda sad, but whatevs, cause simply being with them makes me happy. over the years i've grown to work with the flaws and differences familys face and being away from my family for school has made me realize how much i need then and miss them in my life. so the one thing i love doing with my family is hearing stories from the past and just remembering all the weird shit we've gotten into. simple as that.
