"Reality Or Am I Dreaming?" ....... To All The Maine Fans

I ask myself this every time I see The Maine in concert. What brings me back to see them is there performance not hanging with them after. They put absolutely everything into their performances. The passion they have for the music, the shows, and the fans is just amazing. I think that every one should take the time to listen to The Maine’s newest album “Black & White” it really shows how much they have matured from their last album. Not that I don’t like CSWS. I’ve just gotten so many people to take a listen. For example my mom: i played Growing Up one day in the truck and she loved it because it reminded her of BRUCE FUCKING SPRINGSTEEN!… my mom loves Bruce Springsteen has since she was 12. For her to like music that i listen to that is NOT country is huge. But anyways… I’m always speechless/breathless after They Perform. I am not someone who takes pictures and videos throughout the show. I’ll take like a few pictures during the second song then put my phone away. What’s the point on going to a show and just watching it through the camera or phone screen? You paid to go see them live if you want to watch it through your camera then just watch it at home on the computer and let someone who won’t be doing that enjoy the show. I’m not against people taking pictures of their idols or anything. But I just wish everyone would put the phones and cameras down and just listen, take all of it in …

I love watching Garrett (basest) and Pat (drummer) perform. Garrett runs and jumps around on stage. Last time I saw him perform his in-ears fell out because he was jamming out so hard. Watching him makes me smile because he’s enjoying what he’s doing. I told him that I really appreciated everything he puts into the show and his performance back in November. he was really happy and appreciated it.

Watching Pat perform just leaves me wide eye and speechless. Watching him on the drums is just incredible. I go to a lot of concerts and none can ever top his performance. He puts so much into it I don’t even know what to say I have no words. Just go to there concert and watch him, he’s a beast.

When Kennedy (guitarist/vocals) is performing he’s just smiling the whole time. i don’t think i ever looked at Kennedy without a smile. to see him smiling while performing no matter how tired and breathless he got he never stopped and he’s such a great guitarist too.

Jared (guitarist) just like “holy shit why are you so insane at guitar?” watching him rock out is entertainment all on it’s own. i could just stand there and watch him and Kennedy play all day. But i think they would get pretty tired if that happened.

john (lead vocals) is a great singer with a lot to say. The lyrics he and the guys come up with are just amazing. Every song has a story of it’s own but someway, somehow every song on that one record make one whole book. That’s why bands take the time and thought on what songs fit together for one album right? I don’t read books. I’m not a reader, but when it comes to the story of an album I will read it. They should do a “How It’s Made” episode on The Maine…. even thought How It’s Made does not do that. (I love that show sorry) but I would like to know everything that goes into the music and lyrics. Even though they do try to tell us as much as they can. I’d like to personally interview them someday… i tell everyone about The Maine. not just because they asked but because they should be herd. no i’m not apart of the street team or anything like that. my friend just wants to do an interview but not have to enter any silly contest. she know the right stuff to ask. stuff her and i and most likely every other fan want to know. the real stuff not the silly things.

So I’m done going on about them now. i could continue but i will not. Thank you if you took the time to read this. go listen to them and see them. i want you to realize it’s not about the looks of the bands. Its not about how cute they are. It is nice that they are all attractive but they’re not doing what they do to have girls falling in love with their looks. They do it because it’s something they love. It’s what they do. It’s all for the music and everything they want to share with the world. Hearing what people have to say about their music and what they do and seeing people react to everything.
