Martin from Boys Like Girls said they're not skipping Toronto on the fall tour, so just look out this fall for THE MAINE!! :)

i do not even care when. i go to laurentian in sud for school, but i have missed them everytime, and my friend is living in res at ryerson.. so i will be there.
so stoked.. already and there is not even a date announced.. awesome.

i've come to the conclusion
that they never say what they mean. and apparently it's expensive to rent a club in montreal that's why they don't do it much, which sucks big time. but shouldn't it be worth it for the fans? who knows nowadays.

They've been here before, and they had a lot of fans come out at warped to hear them, to meet them, for their signing, i mean they even had to get a guard there for the fans to be orderly... so if that doesn't scream out montreal loves you. then i don't know what else.

Ha ha! They were trying to make us go in a line but everyone was just looking at them. Hilarious. The wait was long. But it was awesome.
If only they would add a date to Montreal! I'm sure the fans would be extra excited to show that Quebec fans are worth it!

agreed, they came to Vancouver for the first time for Warped, and I want them back, I was literally thinking of hopping on a plane to Toronto for that show, but I don't have the money to dish out =(
Garrett and Pat asked me if they should do a cross-canada tour when I saw them, and I was like YES PLEASE! so maybe in the near future, who knows? keeping my fingers crossed though

the thing is though, they aren't headlining their own tour yet, they've been following bands who have, and i think the label and the headlining band chooses the dates and cities, but if the maine were to do a headlining tour, i think they'd come to more dates in canada.

Oh my god, toronto is terrible for that, bands will say "we're including canada in our tour' but only have toronto booked. Just because we don't have as many people as the states doesn't mean we don't have fans everywhere. Canada is even bigger than the states and it's a little bit harder to travel across hah. come to calgary or edmonton.

Toronto and the east are the
Toronto and the east are the only one who get the good bands. They never come to western Canada and if they do, they only go to Vancouver. What about the provinces in between? Come to Alberta

fellow Canadians, you just have to have faith!
our time will come. they'll do more Canadian dates than just Toronto and Vancouver. I think they just need more of a following before that happens. just keep promoting and loving and it'll happen. when it does, you can say that you knew it would happen all along. :)
I know for myself, I'm lucky that I live in a border province, so I can catch a show in Michigan (1-2 hour drive, depending on the venue) or somewhere like Toronto (4 hour drive).
hope that everyone else gets the chance to see The Maine live at LEAST once. it's soo worth it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you! :)

ahah the maines signing was pretty intense at warped. They can't say they don't come to Montreal because they don't have fans here because clearly they do. I completely agree with everyone saying bands only go to Toronto because it is true and it makes me so angry. Anybody from Montreal driving down to Toronto for the show?

maybe, im not sure to be honest because there is also lights and stereos i will be seeing with friends but if i go to the op tour date in toronto im going to be missing school and just seeing it with my sister and her friend which then i will be a total outcast and shy to be who i really am when it comes to meeting the band mates. we shall see

Thinking about it.
I really want to drive to Toronto, but I need to kidnap an adult or something. I only have my learner's permit and none of my friends are old enough. My parents would KILL me if I go, The Maine is so worth it. But I would have to take the train or... a plane. :) Plus I have... 20$.

Okay seriously, I know I shouldn't complain since Toronto is like a 4 hour drive and Montreal is around a 2 hour drive from Ottawa(where I live)...
but it is soooo not fair that I live in what is supposedly the freaking NATION'S CAPITAL and there are no good concerts here!!
We only get old people music or over-played artists... even if I love James Blunt, I went to the concert and me and my friend were the only two teenagers there the rest were young adult-ish to middle aged people. Jonas Brothers... no comment. Avril Lavigne.. meh. Hilary Duff..... uhm? Elton John and Billy Joel... awesome but... no. Fall Out Boy... woohoo! but that was two tours ago or over two years ago. Then there are random underground concerts. Which I never go to because the band is either not good or the venue is gross and not worth going to.
C'est tout. That's it.
Canada... errrrggg!
Also since I live with my parents. I still have a curfew(12:30am) and obviously I still go to school every single day whether I am up until 3 in the morning or don't sleep at all. Well at least in my dad's case thats what would happen. So I am not allowed out of town on school nights and I am sadly not rebellious enough to push my luck.

okay well I live in toronto, and I wouldn't call it a 'wannabe hollywood' because just becuase you don't live here and get the some of the fortunate things that we do, you can't rip on us for that. Toronto is an amazing city to live in and Ontario is an amazing province. If you do live in Ontario and think toronto is too far for you to go see your favourite band then, lol there really isn't a problem. I agree they should come to more provinces, but not necessarily play at EVERY city in EVERY province, lol thats just kinda dumb. The Maine is the best, and they try to give their fans everything, so it's really not their fault that they can't visit everywhere all the time.

i live in toronto too and i know it's not fair that when they finally DO come to canada,they only stop at one,at the most two places.Don't blame the maine because it has absolutely -nothing- to do with them.. if they wont come to you,you're only option is to go to them which doesnt sound that bad. ;] i can totally get why you'd be mad but i guess you have no choice..

toronto gets EVERYTHING, it's so not fair.
how i see it Toronto is the wannabe Hollywood for Canada.
and I hate how many celebrities when they go to Toronto they say "I love Canada", but really they're just saying that to the people in Toronto, not the entire Country! and if they did "love" Canada, why don't those musicians travel/tour all AROUND Canada?
makes sense if you love Canada, might as well see all of it then just that one City.
