My take on an evening with the maine....

So by now I am sure you heard we are doing a headlining tour with our good friends in This Century. I am very excited about it and cant wait to get out on the road. We have been on so many tours since we started as a band and have really learned what we like to see in a tour and what we dont like to see in a tour. This tour is taking everything we have learned and making the best tour we can. We want to take the best of what we see on tour and make it better and the things we hate to see on tour and not do those things.
First off alot of people that I talk to after the show always say that we dont play a long enough set and that there are alot of songs that they wish we would have played. When we usually go on tour we play around 7-8 songs on this tour we are going to be playing around 17 songs. We are going to be able to play new songs we want you to hear off of Black and White and we will be playing the usual songs we play and the songs off of CSWS that we never had a chance to play like "Well all be" and others. We are also going to play a song that everyone has always asked us to play and we promised to never play it again but we just might have to bring it back for this tour.
The other thing is we really like to hang out with everyone after the shows and on a headlining tour it would have been hard to meet everyone due to time so we are ending the show early so we can make time to see all of you guys! We have seen so many bands starting to make people pay for meet and greets and that is just not something that we feel is for us. We feel that meeting us is apart of the experience of a show and you are buying a ticket to see us so why would we make you pay for a meet and greet?? Doing the tour this way will let us do the things like this we want too.
There are also alot of exspensive tours going around in the summer with alot of bands and we know alot of you guys want to go to those tours and we also know that you dont have all the money in the world so thats we why we are trying to make out tickets half the price of most of those tours.
We are also leaving some room to being out special guests to play random shows on the tour. We will also have our friend Dirk Mai out on the tour taking pictures to hopefully capture the memories of the night for you guys. We cant wait for you guys to come out to the tour and to hear the new record!
Some people have also been asking about the Pre sale bundles and what those are all about. The reason we are doing them is because we couldnt get the regular pre sale up on time so 75 people per city will be able to get a pre sale bundle that will include a ticket to the show the new cd Black and White, an instant download of our new album track "Inside of you" You will get a limited edition signed poster a tour laminant and more! This bundle will obviously cost more but will be well worth it if you were planning on getting the new CD and a ticket to the tour anyway. Keep in mind when the regular tickets go on sale they will be MUCH cheaper than this bundle!
Look out for tour dates pre-sale bundles and the new song on May 4th!!!

I've always wanted a tour like this to happen!
I like the ideas alot. It's sweet of you guys to take the time to give us more time to hang out with you! i feel like tours should always work this way except the obvious like warped tour and what not.
I was worried about the prices and what-not since i already spent $118 on warped tour tickets but thanks to you guys i should not be missing this! (if you do come to Canada!)
