Did anyone else hear that?!
Its truee. It was like We The Kings and FTSK all over again,
John was signing autographs and the police told him to stop so he politely said no,
But you see the stupid cops didn't get it,
so he punched a cop in the face.
I think the cop deserved it..ftw.

i was there last night and im pretty sure he didnt puch the officer.
the police guy got mad cause the crowd surronding john was in the road(it wasnt even the main road or anything the poloce guy was a doucher.) and they started to yell fight for a little and he just put him in handcuffs and put them back in the venue. then like half an hour later or so they let him out with no handcuffs or anything and he went in one of the busses.

Something similar happened to Kennedy back in April when I met him.
PHILLY SECURITY ARE THE BIGGEST DOUCHES EVER.
I swear. They almost NEVER let the bands out, and when they do, they are total assholes about it.
When I was leaving the TLA after the AP tour back in April (April 25th), my friend Tara and I noticed a lot of band members were outside. We saw a huge group across the street, and walked over. Everyone was around Kennedy, so we decided "Ooh, let's get a picture and what not!"
We got behind everyone, and by the time we got towards the front of the sea of girls, a cop came out of no where. He was screaming and yelling, and yanked Kennedy out of the group and started yelling at him, and telling him to stop causing a distraction and what not.
But, luckily, Kennedy walked away a block or so away from the Venue and we got pictures and got to meet him. We took pictures, and he signed my shoe. xD
He was so nice, and everyone was going on about what a dick move the cop made. It was great. :3

Seriously, that cop was out of order. As John said, not all cops are assholes. I'm glad that everything is okay now. I think the cop just wanted to see everyone's reactions. I mean I don't know the law in that area, however John didn't do anything wrong. Mr police dude just wanted to be famous.

They just want to make a scene and use their handcuffs because it makes them feel powerful.
John was just being nice to his fans because he knows how much it means to them... to meet him, get an autograph and take pictures with him.
Too bad that cop had to ruin the night for everyone.

What would have happened if
What would have happened if the cop decided to let John off the hook? Suppose a drunk driver wasn't paying attention to the group of girls in the middle of the road and slammed into them. The cop may have saved their life while all the girls go on and on about what a terrible, power-hungry cop he is. I'm not saying that not letting John give the cameras back was an honorable thing, but the cop was doing his job.

i was there too. John didn't punch the cop..
there was a shit load of girls there, and the cops told him that he had to leave. but he didn't, because he wanted to take pictures with everyone. but then the cops came out again and John just looked at him. and then the girls wouldn't let him leave. so he was like give me your cameras and we will take a group picture of all of us, with me in it. but all the girls completely ignored him. everyone was like wtf. so then the security guy came out again, and was like okay you gotta leave. but John was like okay, let me give back the cameras, but the cop pushed him, and didnt gaf. so then the cameras fell down, and they handcuffed him. But John was being nothing but nice.

Honestly, I feel like the cop was just doing his job. I can see why the cops would handcuff him because he was somewhat, in a way resisting. I mean if they told him to stop doing autographs/pictures right there a couple times they obviously got pissed because he wasn't listening so they had to make him stop. I get that John wanted to be nice too but in a way it's his fault. And then I think that not letting John give the cameras back was a bitch move because it wasn't even his property but then again they had told him to stop already and they needed to make their point that he wasn't above the law and needed to listen up. All in all though, it wasn't a big deal. Oh, and I think the girls saying that they were going to cry is the funniest thing ever. Seriously? I get that people look up to him but cry because he gets handcuffed? He's not gonna die and he didn't even go to jail!
Oh, and for the Chris V thing, the cops really fucked him up. His face was bleeding so much from how brutally they beat him. Now that's something I would cry about because it was so fucking crazy.

Yeah, I totally get where your coming from when you think that it's wrong the way that the cop did it and I agree. However, there's people that think that he had no right to handcuff John when he basically did and that's more of what I'm trying to get at.

Philly WTK
okay as a huge WTK fan here is what i know from my "research".
Mercy Mercedes was loading up their van when some fatass bike cops rolled by and told them that they couldn't park their van in the alley (where it was while they were loading up their gear). So MM basically said okay we'll move it when we're done. The cops didn't like that very much, so T (Trevor) Fair, WTK tour manager, came outside to see what all the commotion was about.
Essentially they all got into a fight and Chris V (Varvaro - WTK merch) came out to help (it was just yelling at this point). The cops told Chris to go back inside. When he wouldn't, they forced him to. One thing led to another and Chris was thrown to the ground by like 4 cops and hit his head on a broken beer bottle. MM got a slew of tickets and Chris and T Fair were arrested.
Nothing really happened with any of the FTSK people. Chris V couldn't tour with them for a period of time (probably around 6 months... he's back with them now, but wasn't there for their ATL 2 week stint or Warped Tour). This left scooter all alone to handle merch, TM-ing, and guitar teching. Props to Scooter. (T Fair also couldn't tour. I don't know if he is back with them now or not.)

Here's the FTSK/WTK/MM story
Here's the FTSK/WTK/MM story written by one of the guys in Mercy Mercedes : "Ok I'm gonna try and fill you guys in from my point of view since it keeps playin over and over in my mind.
Our(mercymercedes) van was parked behind the tla in an alley in which we were informed to do. 3bike cops roll up and give us tickets for being parked there, the same place we were instructed to park. The only way out of the narrow alley was to back out our van and trailer. We were in the process of loading gear after the show when the cops come back a second time. I am in the driver seat backing up the rig just as the cops asked. Then I hear a loud popping noise. I ran over a water bottle in the street that I obviously didn't know was there. The water splashed over the the bike cop. At the time I had to hold the laughter in because it was priceless. these cops just gave us like 4 unecessary tickets and were very rude at doing so. The cop then approaches my window with his soaked clear-leansed bike-cop oakleys in hand and says "do you know how to f*cking drive?" I replied yessir I'm doing exactly what u asked. He then turnes to the other officer and says "write him another ticket and impound their van and trailer."
I was looking for the video where you can see Chris' fac but I can't find it. If I do I'll post it later.
Word of this gets to Trevor aka T-fair, WTKs tour manager. Being the new "baby band" on this tour, T-fair has showed us the ropes and taught us a lot about how these bigger tours work. Already appreciative of him, he came to our aid to work things out with cops for us. He tried to work things out in a calmly manner, when the cops just start threatning him. Trevor calmly says "what are you gonna do I haven't done anything." And of coarce I saw the whole thing and never once did do anything threatning to the cops. They then throw him up against our van pretty hard. Then Chris V. WTKs merch guy walks out to see his friend and TM jacked up on our van for nothin. The cops start pushing every one to get back in the venue. And by pushing I mean really ruffing everyone. Chris V is a suuuuper nice dude just so u guys know that. By now everyone is screaming. The cops are cursing at all of us. One cop throws chris v in the venue and shuts the door. Then the doors opens back up. Still at this point and any point in the night no one has threatend a police officer. The officer that slammed the door on everyone runs in saying word for word, "come here you mother f*cker!!" He ran inside with metal baton in hand swinging. After this I heard more than I saw because of the situation. But my bandmates in mercy saw all of this and said that chris v never tried to fight the cop or resist arrest, but the cops repeatedly beat him with the metal rod.
Seriously people. I've never seen police officers so messed up in my life. All this could have been avoided, but because of these cops that provoked everything were the opitome of asshole. Its like they bored and out to find some action. Just like a buch of drunk bro dudes after a game.
As all this was happening I turn and am being escorted away by another officer. Hurds of fans from the show are watching in awe of the events taking place. I passed two girls bawling their eyes out because they were scared. And amongst the crowd I saw at least 6 kids video taping the whole thing.
Well there ya have it. That's my story. I will always remember this for the rest of my life. T-fair didn't deserve this....Chris V definatly didn't!"
