Ventura - June 28

Heres my story of my awesome experience from THE MAINE:
The only reason I decided to go to Warped was for The Maine, thank god I did because it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I met cool people, got an injury while watching The Maine, and more importantly got to meet them for the first time.
While I was waiting in line (maybe a hour) just to get in the fence to get into the other line that went into Warped, I saw signs saying that The Maine was playing at the Hurley stage at 4:45. I was soo happy, but then when I looked down at the people that were holding the signs, I couldn't believe what I saw......PAT AND KENNEDY!!! and not knowing until very very much later GARRETT..
When they got closer, I went up to Kennedy and bought a CD ( I was waiting for the deluxe edition to come out, but it was kennedy, how many people can say they bought a CD from one of the members). As I was buying the CD, I talked about "The Strand" and that it sucked they couldnt come down ( my voice was shaky the whole time). I took pictures with Pat and Kennedy. They are soo freaking nice.
At around 230 was their meet and greet. I got a hug from JOHN OH!!! and they signed my bag. I was soo happy. The only sucky part was we couldnt take pictures with them.
Then at the right time me and my cousinf went to the Hurley stage to get good positions for The Maine. So we watched Saosin ( they were right before The maine). After they were done, people rushed the stage. I pushed me and my cousin to the front. Just some guy and girl were infront of us. I was soo psycked.
When they came on everyone went wild and got really into it. Crowd surfers galor and lots of pushing. I was recording the whole time, I had to look back every once and awhile so i would be ready for the crowd surfer. Then out of freakin no where. A crowd surfers came and hit my hand, i grabbed my camera tight and the crowd srufers body weight, my hand wrapped around my camera, and that one guy's (in front of me) head cut my finger really bad. I didnt know until about 20 minutes after the incident that i really got hurt. After they were over. We were walking away and I say my hand. BLOOD was dripping down my arm into my other hand. A chunk of my skin was kinda flapping. We went to first aid and got bandaged up..
My cut is still healing, But It was sooo worth it to see them. I'd do it a hundred time over in a heart beat.
It was a perfect WAPRED TOUR and THE MAINE experience.

i saw them walking around the line before and kennedy said hi to me, cause he has remembered me from pomona and their video shoot.
then at the end of the day they were all over at their merch tent hanging out and taking pictures and stuff. 3OH!3 was playing so me and my friend were just dancing waiting for johno to be unoccupied, ahha, and then kennedy came over and started dancing with us. it was so funny. definitely my favorite moment from warped.

Yeah, they kept updating
Yeah, they kept updating their twitters when they were at their tent during 3OH!3 but I was seeing 3OH!3 and they had just started so i missed them :\

ohh that sucks. i missed 3OH!3, but i had seen them in pomona and we could still hear them, so i was cool with missing it.

Haha, yeah. I'll see them in LA so it's cool. I went crowd surfing to 3OH!3 so it was at least worth it.

I would hav totally went..but instead I watched 3oh!3 ..dammmit..

i was totally surprised at
i was totally surprised at how awesome the band was live! originally, i had only wanted to go to see LIGHTS but a friend convinced me to check out the Maine and 3OH3! i was so impressed by the guys that i went to the signing later on and bought a cd!
what other bands awesome bands did you see!?

I was there too! I bought a cd from Kennedy as well but I didn't ask for pictures because I thought they wouldn't take some. I should have asked :| I was in the line for the signing too and I hated that they wouldn't let you get pictures and I got a hug too, but from Kennedy. God, I love them. Where are you from?
